At the start of the month, Brown & Shaw Fire Door Specialists were approached by a new client whose 120-bedroom student accommodation block in Leicester had suffered extensive vandalism, resulting in significant damage to multiple fire doors and frames. The client required a fast, reliable solution to restore safety and ensure the building remained fully compliant with fire regulations.
Our team carried out a detailed site assessment and recommended the replacement of approximately 25 flat entrance fire door sets along with the installation of 40 new door frames. All works were carefully scheduled to minimise disruption to residents while ensuring each installation met manufacturer specifications and certified test data.

Brown & Shaw have recently completed a refurbishment project at Kingsway Hospital, Derby. The building we worked on, Audrey House is a 15 bed mental health unit. The project included the installation of 30 FD30s anti ligature door sets.
